It’s always nice to receive a letter from someone telling their story of how Kathleen has helped them. The letter I recently received came from Mandy from County Dublin who, along with her mother, has a great devotion to Kathleen. For years now she was always in touch with us and as I had not heard from her for some time I sensed something was wrong.

Many of the letters I get tell of graces received from this holy child. I knew it was only a matter of time before a miracle would come through Kathleen’s intercession and it just did. A four-page letter from a lady in England tells us about the long-awaited miracle through Kathleen.

Joe Mulvihill was a life-long chain smoker who had recently started to suffer from chest and shoulder pains. He knew it was his body telling him to give up on the cigarettes. He tried all the usual fixes, nicotine patches and gum, e-cigarettes. None of them eased his craving. Then he started to pray to Kathleen.

This is another one of the letters from people who have a devotion to little Kathleen. And how she came to affect their lives. It’s from Kathleen O’Rourke, an Irish woman living in England, whose husband Jack is suffering from ill-health.

My name is Jeremy Clifford and I was born in Bristol, England. My recently deceased father, Patrick came from Co. Kerry in Ireland. We were both devoted to little Kathleen Kilbane, always praying to her, because, like Kathleen, my father had TB in his 20s, but he survived.

At the end of 2014, my neighbour, a young woman of 30 years old called Julieta told me she was pregnant. It would be her first child so naturally she and her husband were very excited.

“I feel I must write to you as I am not a religious person. I do have my own beliefs, but on receiving the photo of Kathleen Kilbane and ribbon from you I put the photo in a frame and brought a white rose and placed them in my bedroom.

We recently got a letter from Tony Gruddy (age 82) from Scotland, telling us how Kathleen has helped him. “My wife Kathleen sadly passed away on 19th October 2018. Since then I have found it consoling to talk to her on a regular basis.

My name is Patricia McAuley and this is my story. I decided to walk in the footsteps of my patron saint for my 60th birthday. I set out for Ireland and visited Lough Derg, then on to Croagh Patrick for the last Sunday in July.

Colin has been a professional artist for nearly 30 years. He mainly works as a miniaturist sculptor specialising in historical subjects. He tells us here of how Kathleen came into his life: “I arrived in Knock village, Ireland to create a detailed model village of knock as it was at the time of the Apparition of Our Lady in 1879.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the holy child of Achill Island – Kathleen Kilbane. I have received so many favours from this child, she is so divine and so special in God’s care.

I first heard about Kathleen from my sister Brid as she wanted me to find Kathleen's book 'No More Tears In My Eyes. I started looking in shops but I couldn't find it then Laura in the local library said she would order it for me.
